The Monarch of the Desert, Saguaro National Park, Arizona

  1. That's one big saguaro. I like the contrast in shapes and colors. Puffy white clouds always add a nice dimension to the sky.

  2. This is a very nice shot. The Saguaro is framed just right (left) and those wonderful clouds seem to have substance and depth to them, not just some white and weak bunch in the background.

You also made me consider my own photography. For some reason, I tend to think in terms of framing things on the right hand side of photograph. I really don’t know why this happens with the possible exception of being right handed. Thanks for the lesson, even if you didn’t know class was in session.

  3. I really like how the lone saguaro gives a sense of solitude in this photograph.
